This is a climb which takes you on an adventure through the hidden Dandenong’s.  To the south side of the Dandenong’s are some of my favourite areas to climb.  What I like about riding through areas such as Belgrave South, Upper Ferntree Gully & Upwey are its lack of cars.  You can climb roads like the one pictured below and you can have the road to yourself.

Toorac Road (Belgrave) climb

The climb begins on Hazel Vale Road which then becomes Toorac Road.  This is one of the most scenic backstreets to ride in the Dandenong’s.  Boasting one of the gnarliest hairpins going around.

Whilst short this climb is likely to hurt.  With a good solid gradient to contend with and have found this to be a great little short-cut to some great climbs.
