Located right near the hub at Lorne, Albert and Wallace Street is an experience that will leave lasting memories.  Let’s face it, if you’re the type of rider who enjoys climbing gradients this steep you’re a sucker for punishment and must be a dedicated and/or crazy.

With life it’s always important to have a back-up plan. This climb is incredibly steep. Let’s face it, anything over 10% is really hard. Anything over 20% is just insane. Just be glad that if you can’t get up this monster there’s a hospital at the base of the climb.

Good luck getting up Albert and Wallace Streets.

For those who like to go that one step further. Turn left onto George Street & there you will find an extra couple of hundred metres to climb, and at the end of George Street is one of the best lookouts in & around Lorne offering magnificent overhead views of the Great Ocean Road below, and a couple of benches that if you’ve survived this far may need to collapse onto.
